The Chosen hill magazine is based on the head boy and the aspects of the school. The title has the 'o' and the dot of the 'I' has been coloured in giving it a techno look and also adding a splash of colour to the white font. This makes it seem more interesting as the bold colours would catch the eye of the audience when on the shelf. The main image is of the head boy with stories surrounding him about him and what it is like to be the head boy. He is positioned on a sideward pose making it seem 'cool' to be the head boy. However he is not showing a good impression of the school with his scruffy uniform. The variation of fonts and the 'Head Boy' in bold tells us that it is an important and interesting story. The feature stories are very small making it difficult to read and this could effect that audience as they might not be able to read it. The typical conventions are:
- The main image of who features in the main stories
- The bold font for the title
- Main stories
Despite all the good things about this magazine it doesn't have all the typical features that a magazine should have, such as:
- Date of issue
- supporting images of smaller stories
- barcode
