The bold red title draws the eye and makes a short powerful statement as it is only three letters. This can make the title memorable as it is not confusing or hard to pronounce/spell. The top of the magazine contains a bar of well known artist that are featured in the magazine. This makes the magazine more attractive as the audience might be more incline to buy it as it contains various popular artist that they would like. The various side stories contain bright blue titles telling us that they are important and interesting stories, however with the variation of different font styles it can make it look untidy if over done however if it is done correctly it can come across as exciting and draw the reader to the magazine.
The main image is of an up and coming boy band with the caption 'Why Britain's gone silly for the lords of indie dancefloor'. The bold title used for the band tells us that it is the main story of the magazine, this is also backed up by the band members making up the main image. The magazine contains the traditional conventions used to create a music magazine. The barcode, title, main stories, main image and back up images. They layout is almost cluttered however this is effective as it follows the main genres that NME focuses on; rock and alternative rock. Despite this they also do feature other genres such as indie. The bottom right contains a yellow box with ' In the Park' in it, this is a music festival and therefore containing artist. If some of the audience is attending this they would want to know who is performing and as this magazine provides this it will make it more attractive to the reader making them want to buy it.
